In this high-profile Geist residence, Nathan Alan Design created a seamless extension of the kitchen into the living space for a client who enjoys entertaining. Working alongside designer Linda Mordoh we developed a statement island featuring integrated seating, storage, and a cooling system. The design showcases sophisticated black and gold metallic finishes with distinctive “spray” metal treatments. Exceptional materials and an innovative layout can transform a space into an impressive entertainment layout worthy of anyone’s VIP guest list.
Client's Vision and Objectives:
The homeowner wanted a statement kitchen that would serve as the centerpiece for social gatherings. Working alongside designer Linda Mordoh, the vision was to create a space that would impress guests while maintaining functional excellence. The client was after a dramatic aesthetic that would make a bold statement while integrating flawlessly with the home’s luxurious character.
Design Challenges:
The primary challenge was creating a cohesive flow between the kitchen and the front door, effectively extending the utility of the kitchen into the living space without disrupting the home’s overall elegance. Additionally, the project required balancing high-end aesthetic elements with practical entertainment features, ensuring the space was as functional as it was impressive. The extensive use of specialty metal finishes also demanded precise execution to achieve the desired visual impact.

Nathan Alan Design created a showstopping island specifically designed with entertaining in mind, featuring integrated seating, excellent storage, and a built-in cooler system. The use of a “spray” metal finish in black combined with gold accents created dramatic visual contrast throughout the space. While cabinets are on order, you prepare the space for installation. We coordinate schedules with any other contractors involved in your project to ensure a smooth workflow once materials arrive.
When cabinets are delivered to your home, our installation team begins work the following day or at your convenience. After countertops and appliances are installed, we return for final trim work and adjustments to complete your project.
